Dr Sally Aubrey MBBS (HONS) FRANZCOG

Dr Aubrey grew up in Townsville, and after extensive training and study in hospitals around Queensland, she knew she wanted to set up practice in her home town. Having left a budding career in the media to retrain as a doctor, Dr Aubrey completed her studies at James Cook University’s School of Medicine, graduating with Honours, winning the Obstetrics and Gynaecology prize and receiving an Academic Medal. After hospital internship and residency here in Townsville, she undertook six years of specialist training with the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG). During this time she became proficient in the management of complicated and high-risk pregnancies, as well as laparoscopic surgery and management of cervical abnormalities.

Patient comfort is always at the forefront of Dr Aubrey’s practice, as she understands it can be difficult to discuss personal matters or undergo intimate examinations. You can expect a friendly approach from a doctor who will treat you with respect throughout your consultation, with the aim of putting you at ease. Dr Aubrey’s goal is that you leave your consultation empowered, with a clear understanding of your condition and a comprehensive management plan that is individualised to you.

Why Choose Us?

When a patient chooses our practice, we understand that we are in a position of trust for her, and her family. We aim to guide women through their pregnancies, during a time that can be both wonderful and anxiety-provoking. A woman’s experience of pregnancy and labour will be remembered throughout her life, and she should expect to be treated with respect and understanding. Likewise, we know that attending a specialist appointment or having surgery can be daunting for our gynaecology patients. The safety, dignity and comfort of our clients is at the forefront of everything we do. Our team of all-female practitioners will look after you from the moment you walk through our door.
